I drew these figures in a sort of fury. I was upset with some circumstances in my life and felt stuck, these drawings were the result. At first I did not know what they were about, but then their voices came through. When I look at them first, I see the widespread physical/mental abuse of women, the specific pains of power abuse. When I look at them second, I see a fighting spirit against that abuse. It is fierce and relentless and equal in justice. Underneath a system that oppresses there is an energy that is unstoppable. It has been growing and growing and growing. When it breaks it will break like a shockwave spreading around the globe.
